

About the Founder
Diana Velez is a licensed stylist trained at the Aveda Institute and has worked at top NYC salons, including Sally Hershberger NoMad and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa NYC. She held media and marketing roles at People and Latina magazines and at nonprofit organizations StoryCorps and the Committee for Children.
Through experiences in the beauty and media industries, Diana gained valuable insight that helped shape her approach to self-care. Her teenage years included working at a Bronx hair salon that ignited a lifelong passion for community spaces where care and connection thrived and remain a central inspiration for Glow.
Dedicated to her mother, Lucy, Diana’s vision for Glow is rooted in creating inclusive spaces where everyone can feel valued and empowered. She is committed to understanding the needs and desires of future participants, ensuring that Glow remains a responsive and supportive initiative.
Diana is a Bronx native, mother to two wonderful grown children, and lives in Brooklyn with her untrainable dog, Vulcan. 🐕🦺
